Mar. 24-25 | New SomiSomi Ice Cream Opens in Irvine offering BOGO Free Deals

SomiSomi Ice Cream is probably my favorite spot for Taiyaki (Fish Cone in Japanese) Soft Serve or AhBoong (Fish cone in Korean) Soft Serve. Since it is an originally Korean spot, let's call it AhBoong for now! They also advertise it at their store too in an educational way, stating that Taiyaki is also called "Ahboong" in Korean! YAY for culture!

My first time experiencing this at Korea Town in Los Angeles made me wish it was in Orange County. And now... my prayers have been answered! SomiSomi is opening a store at Irvine Spectrum! That mall just keeps getting better and better!

I love SomiSomi particularly, better than all the other similar places, because the fish cone is always made fresh so it still has that crispy texture and it's soft where it should be. The soft serve is also delicious! And the toppings, like Oreo crumbs, are free! 

They have flavors such as matcha, ube, milk, and black sesame. They also used to have banana flavor which I didn't like since it tasted a bit too artificial for me. 

The soft serve in a Ah-boong combo costs around $5.95. Not bad at all because this is the best around!
