TAP Gelato is the new ice cream spot in town! This new shop is having it's grand opening Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016. The gimmick that will get them insta-famous? GOLD. AS. A. TOPPING.



TAP Gelato replaced Frozen Bar, which was another gelato shop, and has completely changed the decor to a more industrial / dark / grunge theme. Well, that's what I felt when I walked in there. What happened to the bright white and blue of Frozen Bar?

Here is a pic of their ice cream cone dipped in Nutella and topped with 24K GOLD KARAT LEAF. I wonder how much these will be costing?!

This gimmick actually reminds me of this one spot in Japan. Can't remember the name but it would have Gold flakes or sprinkles on sushi and ice cream. I actually wanted to try it...LOL. But now there's one in Garden Grove to try!

Judging from the photo, it looks like gold colored foil. Like you about to eat some aluminum with your dessert there....

This apparently edible gold also reminds me of Birdies LA which sells (sometimes) that GOLD DONUT....

I'll let you know how it tastes if I ever try it... xD
