Oh, and did you know they are from New York? I learned this at the Pop Bar Japan location last year... LOL Here's a short side story:
So last summer I was in Japan walking around Shibuya and saw a shop with a familiar logo. It was Popbar! I was excited because I love Popbar at home and wanted to check it out. They kept advertising it as a "FROM NEW YORK" store to get some excitement from the passerbys. Honestly, it was quite sad. Like the store was pretty empty and they seemed to be using the New York thing as their only appealing thing to reel people in. The prices were expensive and no unlimited toppings. You simply cannot get more than 1 topping even if u pay extra. Ridiculous! You cannot get two different dips either. LAME! So I was disappointed by the Japan Pop Bar. I wonder if they are doing well... because there are much more "kawaii" assembly-style-pick-your-own-topping-popsicle shops elsewhere in Tokyo.
OH, so actually I was really confused. From NYC? I thought PopBar was from Anaheim?! My first experience was at the Anaheim Packing House so I just assumed it's from Anaheim. But nope, I asked the workers and then looked it up online later to make sure. This is a from NYC chain and franchises are just poppin` up everywhere!
