THE PACKAGING IS TOO LEGIT!
THIS FACE MASK IS ALSO LIKE A LITTLE SOUVENIR FOR ATTACK ON TITAN FANS. I MEAN... WHY WOULD I THROW THIS AWAY? IT'S SO COOL AND HAS THE STORY OF ATTACK ON TITAN! *SCREAMS INSIDE*
THIS FACE PACK COMES WITH TWO! THE COLOSSAL TITAN AND THE FEMALE TITAN!
So these face masks just made all my dreams come true. Thanks to Kevin who surprised me with them! Yay! I FINALLY GOT TO TRANSFORM INTO AN OFFICIAL TITAN WITH KEVIN! I wore the Female Titan facial mask and he wore the Colossal Titan facial mask. And I think we look pretty darn awesome ^__^!
These facial masks are actually officially licensed for Attack on Titan. No copycats or wannabes here! They've got other officially licensed masks such as Marvel's Captain America and Iron Man (if I remember correctly...) and I hope to get that one next for my transformation with Kevin! They also have Disney's Nightmare before Christmas and other great ones too.
Usually character facial masks are just for looks. I think these actually work. My face felt a bit tingly while putting them on at first and they smell very strong of lavender but my face felt more refreshed and moisturized afterwards! My face felt cool and relaxed so I totally recommend these masks!
I decided to google these masks and on the first page found this website:
http://www.japantrendshop.com/attack-on-titan-face-pack-p-2992.html
That website sells these facial masks for a whopping $27?! What?! That is insanely expensive. I'm sure it's probably much cheaper in Japan in general but most people can't just fly on whim to become Titans. So...luckily, we've got Tokyo Central here in California.
Tokyo Central just got these new facial masks at their store this past Tuesday. And much more. They've got a bunch of these cool masks for only $11 compared to the online website I found on Google. Remember, each package comes with 2 masks!
There are multiple locations for Tokyo Central such as Torrance, San Diego, and Costa Mesa. I went to the Costa Mesa location. For those who don't know, y'all should know Tokyo Central used to be Marukai Supermarket which specializes in Japanese and Hawaiian goods and groceries. Don Quijote (one of my fave stores in Japan) bought out the Marukai company and renamed some of the stores to Tokyo Central (they couldn't rename it Don Quijote due to copyright of the book...?!). If you've been to Don Quijote stores in Japan, that store with a blue penguin mascot known to basically have everything from groceries, cosmetics, appliances, and sex goods, then you'll find Tokyo Central to be quite reminiscent of that. Except more on the grocery side and less of the sex stuff (probably none of the sex stuff...).
Here is the address to Tokyo Central in Costa Mesa! They open from 9am - 10pm everyday ^_^. I'll probably buy more facial masks... hehe
Address: 2975 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
*It's on Harbor / Baker diagonally across from the plaza with Target / Yogurtland / Etc.
