This place totally changed from before! It has a more trendy hipster vibe compared to the more playful and colorful atmosphere that it adorned before. Although the previous look was very cute, I actually really like the new, mature decor!
I asked one of the workers why they changed the decor of the story. Their answer, "The old design attracted more children and we wanted to target an older crowd. As long as their is ice cream, children will still come but with the new decor, a more older crowd comes." (or something like that)
Basically, they wanted to attract a more mature crowd.
Anyways, they have a vast selection of Italian ice flavors here AND they even have pretty unique custard flavors too like salted caramel and even the famous Hawaiian Dole Whip that they get shipped straight from the Island.
TO SUM IT ALL UPPPPPP:
- My favorite ices are: the green tea, thai tea, taro, oreos and cream and watermelon.
- My favorite custards are: the green tea, salted caramel, and chocolate. I personally don't like dole whip that much because it's too sour for my liking.
- I ordered the Watermelon slush and it is SO refreshing. I recommend it!
- They also have Zero Sundaes which is basically your italian ice with custard and toppings like boba or cereal! Sounds good right? I'll have to try it sometime!
- This is one of my fave places for Italian Ice!
