In Korea, Baskin Robbins is very popular and is so much cuter
with very unique flavors that have super cute names (that reveal nothing
about the flavor itself) than over here in California. It's also like a
Mcdonalds because you can literally find a Baskin Robbins in every
corner of the street. And each one is always crowded with customers
chillin in with friends or even doing homework in the super nice seats
and tables provided. I often ate ice cream from Baskin Robbins pretty
much like.... almost everyday!
FAVORITE'D is on a whole
'nother level though. It's a Baskin Robbins store that is basically
luxurious enough to fit in with the other stores in Gangnam. They've got
the nicest looking cakes (I wasn't allowed to take photos of the cakes
but I did anyways until the worker stopped me....) and the nicest
looking pink chairs and 2 stories to their store. The ice cream itself
was more expensive but they had flavors that were not usual in the other
Baskin Robbins stores around Korea. If you're ever in Gangnam, you have to get your after-dinner dessert here!
The following is a repost from last summer (2013) from my SOULKOREAN tumblr.
A cuteeeee cake from Baskin Robbins!
Then we had to take some cute pictures out on the streets of Gangnam!
After eating at Johnny Rockets... of course Lexy and I HADDDDDDA get dessert! What better place than Baskin Robbins ?!! This Baskin Robbins is actually a special one. It is called FAVORITE'D by BASKIN ROBBINS and sells more waffle dessert type stuff and macaron type dessert with ice cream. Anyways, it's much more pricier here and they also have different flavors than the normal Baskin Robbins around Korea. This place has GREEN TEA AND COOKIES! WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE FLAVORS NOW!! I'm going to start buying green tea ice cream and crush oreo cookies into them now... once I return to California... haha
After filling our bellies and satisfying our cravings, we roamed the streets of Gangnam once again and took a picture using those touch screen photobooth type machines! They were everywhere! Pretty cute if you were on a date dontchathink?? Anyways, aside from taking photos it also had helpful information about the tourist areas and subway maps, and of course the weather and coupons to various places. Did I mention that it was all touch screen? Damn Korea, I miss youuuuuuu and your advanced technology and super fast free wi-fi! -
