We explored Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach. This was my first time there! It was pretty cool actually and I felt a very hipster and vintage vibe down that street. There were a lot of cool and unique shops and restaurants and there were many Organic cafes.
We spontaneously went to Kreation Cafe and it was really delicious! Although we just got tea, this place reminded me of a RESTAURANT VERSION OF NEKTAR JUICE. It basically had the same products plus tea and espresso drinks and food. I would love to go to this street again in the daytime, especially since it was featured on a Japanese Variety Show called Moya Moya (That's why Lisa wanted to go).
Kreation Cafe is not cheap though. The prices run pretty high for their organic tea and coffee. They also have organic juices and even breakfast and dinner entrees as well. What I like is that they serve authentic European style coffee. For an example, a machiatto here is just a shot of espresso with a dash of milk foam. THAT'S RIGHT. What you've been getting from Starbucks is not how the Europeans do it!
Back to the topic, we got two different teas and the total came out to be about $10. The tea came in a decent sized cup, not too big and not too small. We had to wait for it to cool down a bit in order to drink it. Since it was just straight-up tea, I had to put a lot of sugar into it. I got some type of fruity herbal tea and it was good! I would probably only ever go here again if I decided to make a trip down to Abbot Kinney and had some $$ to spare. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't go to Venice Beach just for this place.
Hey there! Hope you are here because you're hungry! This is the Diary of an Orange County Foodie, and let me show you some worthy spots and share honest reviews!
