THIS IS ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE DRINK: THE JAPANESE MATCHA WITH SEA CREAM (WITHOUT THE SOYMILK BECAUSE THEN IT WOULD BE TOO SWEET)
THIS IS NOT POWDERED TARO BUT THEY ACTUALLY MAKE IT FROM THE TARO ROOT / BEET (WHAT IS THE CORRECT TERM FOR THIS?!)
This place is fast and quick for all your fresh tea needs! Their menu unfortunately is very limited compared to other tea houses but you can tell that the drinks and items they DO offer and specialize in are basically guaranteed to be great quality.
I only go here to buy a drink and then leave but this location is huuuuuuuuge compared to their original location on Brookhurst. They also have a bigger menu with food that includes cliche teahouse specialties such as popcorn chicken, fries, and macarons. They do however have a not-so-cliche item on the menu that is duck with steamed buns (would be normal at a chinese / dim sum restaurant) and honestly, when I tried it even though it was delicious as it is, it wasn't too special. And I wish it was bigger... haha. I recommend the popcorn chicken here though. However, be careful with the spice level! This place's medium spicy is actually REALLY SPICY! When this location was still in infancy, I ordered Garlic Fries but somehow it was actually Cajun fries... but Cajun Fries aren't even offered on the menu. I even asked a worker and they notified us that our order was in fact the Garlic Fries and that's just how 7 Leaves makes there Garlic Fries (must be their name for "Cajun Fries" because there definitely was not any garlic in there but a lot of cayenne pepper instead). Maybe their cajun and garlic fries confusion is over now and fixed? I wouldn't know because I don't order food from 7 Leaves anymore.
Anyways, the drinks though are definitely a MUST-BUY. The drinks at 7 leaves are brewed fresh and the ingredients for all their drink items are freshhhhhhhhhhh! They may not have many drinks available but the ones that they do offer are totally top-quality! I like their sea cream too! It's the right amount of saltiness for me.
The decor is legit and the store itself is very spacious with many tables for chillin with friends or for studying! They've got the free wi-fi here for that! I even heard that you can print here too for 5cents!
My favorite drink here is the Japanese Matcha Tea with Sea Cream. The Mung Bean drink is also good too. The Thai Tea milk tea here is not too milky. I honestly do not like the Jasmine Milk Tea though because it does not have a strong Jasmine flavor.
The prices are decent. Not too expensive for the drinks! The menu items are basically $3-$6 so you won't be breakin your bank at this place to satisfy your tea cravings!
P.P.S. When this location becomes too crowded and all I want is a drink I just drive to the original location which seems to have become dramatically less crowded ever since this location opened.
