SESAME BALLS WITH MUNG BEAN PASTE INSIDE
SNAIL MANGO SALAD. YUM!!
Aside from eating at all the restaurants I show in my other posts, I'm lucky to have a mom that loves to cook! Eating at home also feels like eating at a restaurant too!
The other day my dad bought some sesame seed mung bean balls from LEE'S SANDWICHES!! I love the ones they sell because it's super crunchy!! Although it is oily, these are one of my favorite Vietnamese Pastries!! Are they Chinese too though? Since I also see these at Dim Sum restaurants... Well, anyways I'm gonna go ahead and call them Vietnamese Pastries anyways!
My mom also made SNAIL(YES SNAIL!) MANGO SALAD! It was so yummy! The snail was bought from the Korean Supermarket Arirang nearby and I guess they already took off the shells so it was easy to cook! The mango are unriped so when tossed together with snail and some fish sauces, cilrantro, peanuts, and other delicious things, IT IS DELICIOUS and can be eaten just by itself or with CRUNCHY FRIED RICE PAPER! At my house, we apparently did not have that so I ate it with crunchy Onion Ring chips. lol....
