LE CAFE DU PARC is a small coffee shop located in the Park Apartments which is basically a 10 minute walk away from the Irvine Spectrum. Residents of these apartments here are lucky to have this little gem located conveniently and virtually at their doorsteps for them to get their daily coffee or to grab a quick bite without even traveling very far. But residents aren't the only ones that know about this place. Coffee connoisseurs and lovers of the latte arts who are fortunate enough to be able to find this (almost hidden - well it was extremely hard for me to find this place the first time...) coffee shop are able to get their hands on ILLY brand Italian coffee in various forms that include creatively and intricately executed latte art.
This shop offers espresso drinks, cappuccinos, machiatos (the authentic kind I must add), lattes, caldos, and even coffee with GELATO (affogato and cafe glace)! However, if you are not into coffee but you still want the latte art, they even offer the chai latte, matcha latte, and red velvet latte! Get the hot chocolate too (with "latte" art) if none of those mentioned above interest you.
Aside from the coffee and lattes, they also have smoothies, milkshakes, iced teas, and frappes as well. Gelato ice cream is also available and perfect for the year-round summer vibes in Irvine.
If you're down to get a bit tipsy then this place also offers ALCOHOL!! They've got draft beer, bottled craft beer, wine, and even cocktails. ^__^
And of course, how can you have a drink without food? This place offers a variety of sandwiches and delectable dessert ranging from cheesecakes to napoleons!
My favorites: The Oreo Cheesecake here is a must-have! It's small but extremely rich in taste. I also love the turkey & cheese or the ham & cheese croissant heated up to melted cheesy perfection (I love cheese!). As for drinks, LATTES WITH LATTE ART. Since I don't really drink coffee (or even like coffee that much ...) I always ask for one less espresso shot than usual so the coffee taste won't be so strong but at least I'll still get the pretty art!
ASK FOR BLISS: Make sure to ask for Bliss at the shop! He is basically the best Barista here and if you are lucky enough to visit when he's working, your taste buds will probably sip a damn good cappuccino or latte and your eyes will be completely amazed by his latte art skills! NO JOKE! ***He usually works in the evenings (;
